Whipped Coffee:The Perfect Drink for Summer

If you follow me at all, you know I love anything that has to do with coffee. After all, it's even the name of my blog. So, this little discovery I've made shouldn't come to a surprise to any of you. Whipped Coffee is the next best thing, at least for me it is. Whether it's popular anywhere else, I have no idea. But I highly recommend you try it.

Whipped Coffee, a three ingredient drink hailing from Southeast Asia was once unheard of but now seems to be floating around social media more and more these past few days. I discovered the delicious drink from Gabi Demartino in one of her YouTube videos and thought "I have to try this, it looks so good". So, that's what I set myself out to do.

Don't let the look of Whipped Coffee scare you. It's super easy and includes ingredients that you already have at home. So, what are you waiting for? If you are a caffeine obsessed person who just needs one more coffee drink in their lives, give Whipped Coffee a shot. I can guarantee that you won't regret it.

HOW TO MAKE WHIPPED COFFEE

Ingredients:

  • 1. . 2 Tablespoons instant coffee (I use Starbucks Veranda)

  • 2. 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (brown sugar is tasty too)

  • 2 tablespoons hot water (boiling it is the easiest)

  • 1 cup whole milk (or whatever your milk preference is)

Instructions:

Combine the instant coffee, sugar, and water in a bowl. With a whisk or electric mixer, beat for 2-5 minutes until the mixture has lightened and turned into a whipped type mixture. If you want to add flavor like vanilla or caramel, pour the a couple drops of the flavor into the mixture and beat for 1 more minute. Pour milk into a glass (you can pour it over ice or choose not to. Both are delicious) and top it with the whipped coffee mixture. Stir the mixture into the milk and enjoy.

I know what you're thinking. How in the world can these three ingredients make a whipped mixture? I thought the same thing, but they actually do. It turns out Instant Coffee has an ingredient in it that helps stabilize the coffee and when whipped, giving it the frothy, airy like texture. It's seriously delicious, and you NEED to try it.

Have you tried it? Let me know what you think!!
