The connection I have with Nashville runs deep. It's hard to explain with words. But while many love the sun and beaches, I crave the sound of Music City. If you've never been, I highly recommend visiting. If you have and are looking for new spots to check out, keep reading.
Last week I got to escape the craziness of the world and head off to Nashville. It was such a great way to find relief and forget about all the chaos happening in the world. This past visit inspired me to make a list of my top 5 favorite spots in the area. So, if you're ever in Nashville, go to these places. I promise you won't be disappointed.
I do not care what anyone says. I will be say this a thousand times that Fido is the best coffee shop in Nashville. Sure, they have several and they all are fantastic but there is something about the atmosphere in Fido. The location is great, the people are nice, and the coffee is delicious (I recommend their Vanilla Latte). The line is usually long but I promise it's worth it.
It's the 'Mother Church' of country music and it definitely lives up to its name. The 100 year old oak pews are beautiful, and the acoustics are some of the best you will ever hear. The building is rich in history and beauty. Hank, Patsy, and my favorite - Johnny Cash have all performed there. If you can't make a show there, at least get a tour. It's an incredible place.
If you love songwriting, this place is for you. It's the place that invented 'Writers in the round" and it's the place that has discovered many talented artists. It's rich in its history and you will never hear a bad song within their four walls. It's small but mighty in so many ways.
I Pancakes!! Enough said.
GRAND OLE OPRY
No trip to Nashville would be complete without experiencing the radio show that “made country music famous.” Since 1925, the Opry has been mixing music, comedy skits and live commercials into its down-home Saturday night broadcast. Today, it features shows with artists like Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, and Connie Smith. The circle remains unbroken, and it truly is a magical place.
