It's Not About Personality: It's About Worldview

I know it's been exhausting hearing about the election. Believe me, sometimes I can't even handle it. But believe it or not, it's the most important election of our lifetime. You hear it every four years but this time, it's different. The future of our country is at stake. We are dealing with a lot of heavy stuff as a nation and it's important to understand why on November 3, we have to vote for a worldview not a personality.

First things first, as Christians, we are NOT voting for a pastor, we are VOTING for a president. The person we vote into office is the person that should align the closest to our worldview, values and beliefs. It would be great if we could elect a pastor but the reality is, we aren't. Another thing we have to remember is that everyone is a sinner. Our leaders are sinners just like you and me. They are not perfect, and they each have their flaws, but we also have to remember that some are just plain corrupt.

If you haven't heard by now, you should know that Democrats are a godless party. They want God to be wiped out of everything including schools, your churches, and yes, even the pledge of allegiance. They do not want you to worship freely. There is a lot of corruption on both sides, but when we focus on worldview, we have to understand what both sides stand for and what aligns closest to our worldview. Do you want to vote for a person who is for baby murder? Or do you want to vote for a person who wants to protect all life? Do you want to vote for the person who is willing to raise taxes, expand government and usher in socialism? Or do you want to vote for someone who wants to protect your freedom to worship, your freedom to speak freely, and your liberty?

We have a choice on a November 3. We have a choice to vote NOT for a personality but a worldview. Christian, now is not the time to skip out on an election. Now is not the time to vote for whatever the. media tells you to vote for. Now is NOT the time to remain silent. It IS the time to VOTE. It IS the time to RESEARCH. It IS the time to fight for your freedoms. It IS the time to PRAY for our nation. It IS the time to remember who God is.

I don't claim to be the most educated when it comes to politics but I know it's something I have become extremely passionate about. I've learned how important it is to VOTE and let your voice be heard. I've learned how imperative it is to VOTE for your worldview, not a personality or a flaw. Christian, if we don't vote, others will and our country will go in the direction that others voted for and what will it be if we don't speak up? What will it be if we don't bring our confidence to the voting booth to vote for life and to vote for the freedoms that allows us to worship freely? We have a choice this November and we cannot stay silent on that choice.

Worldview is BIGGER than personality. This November, you are NOT voting for Biden or Trump. This November, you are voting for the future of this country. You are voting for whether or not a baby should be slaughtered in the womb. You are voting for liberty. You are voting for either capitalism or socialism. You are VOTING for a worldview.

Christian, I urge you to do your research before you vote. I also urge you to pray for our nation. But I also urge you to remember that, while this election is important, God is and always will be sovereign. He sits on the throne and he knows the outcome of what is to come this November. But we are to not stay silent this time around. We SHOULD vote. We SHOULD let our voices be heard. We SHOULD vote for our worldview not a personality.

the Bible isn't silent about this. We need to care about what goes on in our country:

  • · In the Old Testament, both Joseph and Daniel served in civil government, trying to influence the future and flourishing of their nation.

  • · In Exodus, we see Moses as a political leader as he led the Israelites out of Egypt. This provides a great example of God’s heart for good government.

  • · The books of 1+2 Chronicles shows us Lord’s heart for good government through Solomon and the request for wisdom to govern effectively.

  • · Isaiah describes the coming of the Savior and his kingdom – whose government there shall be no end.

  • · Obadiah affirms that justice cannot be escaped

  • · Galatians explains the total freedom given by Christ – that the gospel necessitates, requires, and sustains freedom

  • · Romans shows the value of government

  • · 1,2, + 3 John explain the importance and need to have good role models in leadership

  • · Jude attacks bad role models in leadership and explains how and when abused authority can be abdicated.

The Bible is apparent when it comes to government and politics, leaving us with no excuse to avoid the topic. We simply can’t. This is even more important today than it was 4 years ago. We have to speak up, and we have to fight for good government; the government that is going to lead and help our nation flourish, not fall into tyranny. Politics affect government, shapes society, and ultimately influences the culture we live in. Because of what the Bible teaches about government and importance it has on our culture, Christians must care about politics.

On November 3- VOTE for a worldview - not a personality.
